Passing the exam required to earn the HCS-D coding credential can be daunting for many. In this training program, Lisa Selman-Holman addresses the concerns of every coder who plans to sit for and successfully achieve this coveted credential. After a review of the HCS-D exam basics, Lisa provides a review of the coding concepts a coder must know and provides numerous examples, scenarios, and exercises to allow you to gauge your knowledge, understanding and application of those coding concepts.
The goal of this training program is to consolidate the application of concepts necessary to establish the coder as competent prior to testing for the Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis certification exam. This training program provides an excellent review of concepts included in the exam. At the conclusion of this training, you will be able to:
- Explain conventions and guidelines in ICD-10-CM coding.
- Apply guidelines to home care scenarios.
- Identify correct actions to comply with legal/regulatory requirements.
- Identify appropriate actions in order to collaborate with clinical staff and physicians.
- Explain the diagnosis OASIS data items
This course will include a handout, instructional video and quiz to test your knowledge. At the end of the course, complete the evaluation to download your certificate
