IRF PPS Proficiency Check: CMI

$ 110.00

This session allows participants to determine how much they know about their facility’s case-mix index (CMI) and the outcomes that contribute to this measure.

Prior to viewing the recording, attendees are encouraged to complete an assessment consisting of twenty proficiency questions that target specific concepts that relate to inpatient rehabilitation’s CMI (The assessment will take approximately twenty minutes). The presentation reviews the proficiency preassessment, focus on the rationales for the correct answers, and explain how to use UDSMR training tools to improve your facility’s CMI. The presentation includes discussions on CMS’s calculation of CMI in IRFs and examine the effects of coding inaccuracies and the patient’s discharge on this outcome.

Target Audience: Inpatient rehabilitation professionals, including program directors, PPS coordinators, therapy managers, nursing managers, compliance and data integrity managers, and rehabilitation physicians.
